Types Of Hemp Foods

There are many different types of hemp foods and each is nutritious, because the hemp seed is filled with vitamins, minerals, Omega fatty acids and it is a good source of fiber. Some of the many foods that can be found made from the hemp seeds are flour, protein powder, hemp coffee, salad oil and cooking oil.

There are also hulled seeds that can be added to foods such as salads, yogurt, pesto, soup or stew and other meals to give them not only a pleasing taste but also adding all the nutrition that is contained in the hemp seed.

Roasted hemp seeds are also a treat that can be added to trail mixes, cookies, breads and muffins. There are raw hemp seeds that are used in making milk, ice cream cheese and other products that are especially a good choice for a person that can not consume dairy products and tree nuts, because it has none of the properties that cause allergic reactions. The milk and ice cream can be found in flavors such as vanilla and chocolate without the allergic reactions and with a consistency that is closer to the products made using dairy that soy or rice and with more nutrition.

The flour that is made from the hemp seed can be used in making any recipe that the less nutritious bleached flour can be used, such as cookies, muffins, breads and other flour based foods. There is also hemp meal; this is nutritious to add to cereal, salads and in making granola bars.
