Hemp Home—The Future
Hemp has always been useful in building supplies especially in regards to roofing, flooring, plaster and plywood to name a few. It can also give biodegradable plastic composites, which at times are as tough as steel. Various other uses such as wallboard, insulation, concrete pipes and paneling can be associated with hemp.
Hemp herbs allow you to make foundations, which are based on an ancient technology.
It is said that hemp foundation walls are 7 times stronger than foundations of concrete and they are half as light and three times as elastic. This being the case allows these building to bend, but they will never break. Hemp foundations allow these buildings to be of superior, resistant to stress and even induced cracking or breaking. As a result they are most suitable for the earthquake prone areas.
Homes can be made nearly 100% out of hemp materials. Pipes can be fabricated out of hempcrete making them incredibly strong, flexible and resists cracking. Hemp can be mixed with lime in order to create a strong and long lasting insulating plaster that can be cast around wooden frames or sprayed against wood or stone forms.
There is so much that one can do with hemp these days and the uses keep growing. Currently we can found many demo hemp made homes in Canada, France and other countries. Many countries have opened their eyes to hemp and if you want to be part of this new movement, wake up and go for the Hemp Home.
