Hemp flour and its uses

Hemp flour is from the hemp seed of the industrial hemp plant and is used in cooking and baking especially by people who cannot eat dairy or tree nuts, because of allergic reactions. Some of the items that can be made using hemp flour are breads, muffins, pancakes, cookies, and other baked goods.

This type of flour unlike other flour has a high nutritional value; there are amino acids, vitamins, minerals, omega fatty acids, calcium and iron in hemp flour. Other types of flour have very little nutritional value they also can have properties that can create allergic reactions, unlike hemp flour, which can be eaten by people with allergies to dairy and tree nuts.

Hemp flour also lends a full flavor to the baked goods, pancakes are other items that are being prepared with it, and this is not the case with many flours such as white unbleached flour.

There are several places that hemp flour can be found, it can be found in some stores that sell groceries in the specialty section, it can be found in specialty shops and it can be found on Internet websites that sell hemp food.

People have used hemp foods with all the nutrition not only today, but also for thousands of years. Hemp has long been known to be a crop that is able to be used for various types of food, for textiles, for building, paper and even for money.
