The Health Difference In Making Paper With Hemp
Manufacturing any product pollutes the air and some pollute the air more than others with dangerous chemicals that are a health hazard, this is true with making paper from trees.
When paper is manufactured from trees during the process there is dioxins, chloroform and other chlorinated compounds that are released into the air during the processing of paper. This is watched to ensure there is only so much of the chemicals released into the air, but it is still released and by manufacturing hemp paper it could be stopped, because hemp does not contain the same chemical properties that are dangerous to humans and animals as trees contain. While these are monitored, chemicals cannot be monitored close enough and with the more efficient hemp plant for making paper there is a way of stopping paper making chemicals from reaching the air.
It is also more efficient to use hemp in paper making, because hemp contains approximately three times the amount of cellulous that trees do, they can reach maturity in about 120 days from planting, while trees take years. One other fact when using trees for making paper, every tree cut is taking away the natural habitat for many animals, which in turn can place them in danger of extinction.
Hemp has been a part of paper making for thousands of years and it has been the source for which many important documents have been written, like the United States Constitution and the Declaration of Independence. It is also what some of the oldest texts in history were drafted upon that has provided information about the past.
