Hemp Farming

Hemp farming is not a new type of crop for farmers to plant, this is one of the oldest crops known to man spanning back thousands of years to ancient Egypt, Rome, and Asia. This because hemp is a crop that matures with in 120 days from the time it is planted making it a high yield crop. Along with the fact that as many as 900 hemp plants can be planted in a one square foot area of land.

Today farming hemp crops can be done in some areas while in others it is not legal, and yet there are also areas that require the farmer obtaining a license to grow hemp crops. There are many reasons why hemp crops are intelligent for a farmer to plant, such as the limited space that is needed and because it is a fast growing crop. It also is a crop with little or no waste; each part of the hemp plant can be used in the manufacturing of one of the many things this plant can be used for.

The hemp plant is used for making foods, textiles; it is used in the building industry and in the past has even been used for money. This is one plant that could be used to run entire countries putting it in a different category than any of the other editable botanicals. This is a crop that was ordered by the King of Spain and later two American Presidents to be grown by farmers, because of its value.
