The Hemp Plant And Its Benefits

There have been many uses for the hemp plant throughout history and the tall plant with long tapered leaves gathered at the top of the plant has been ordered to be grown in many countries. The King of Spain ordered the hemp plant crops to be grown, the early colonies in America were ordered to grow industrial hemp and two American Presidents were in favor of hemp and known to have grown crops.

This is a plant that is known to have more vitamins, minerals, amino acids, calcium, iron and omega fatty acids, making it one of the most valuable edibles in the plant kingdom that can be used for more than just the editable parts of the plant. Hemp is a plant unlike others, because while there can be many foods produced from the plant, it can also be used to make material, building material, it can be used to produce paper and other products.

The benefits of this plant were known in ancient times and this is why is it was ordered to be grown by farmers. While they may not have known about the nutrients that are held in this plant they did know about the many uses for this botanical named by Discoridies as the father of medicine as Cannabis Sativa, translated from its Latin form it was named the useful plant. Even during these times material and paper were manufactured from the hemp plant. It was also used for some illnesses; the success with using hemp in medicine today is easy to understand it could have been successful because of the nutrients that are so plentiful.
